How are you?

How are you my blog friends?  I miss blogging so much.  It's been I think more than 3 months since my last post.  Asides from being kinda lazy, I was also busy when hubby arrived from work last May.  Another reason also was that her grandmother is in the hospital.  So, FAMILY is the most important thing in the world.

Yesterday afternoon, when I brought my daughter to to the school many Preschool students are wearing a red Spooky Spectacles that you can get free from every Happy Meal from McDonalds. So, after doing some errands before I fetch my daughter at the school, I went to McDonalds to get a Happy Meal for her and for her baby sister. They were so happy with the Spooky Spectacles, super cute. hubby flew to Manila just this Saturday then he went to the office for final briefing and get some things needed. His flight details was Manila-Dubai-New York. Just this Sunday, 

Hubby left for Dubai last Saturday at 5:35pm and arrived their at 4:15am. Then I received another text from him that he arrived in New York Airport and then drove by land for 1 hour to New Jersey where he will be joining with the rest of the crew. Hubby told me that the weather was very cold, when he texted me, it was 5 degrees Celsius. As of now it is already -1 degrees Celcius. Super cold, BBBRRR....

Christmas 2013 & New Year 2014

Happy New Year To All! Before I get to the happy story, will tell you the kinda sad party story. To those who did not know, my dad was confined at the hospital last December 6. At first, it only started with a dizziness. Then my mom said let's go to the hospital for check-up. When they arrived at the hospital, my dad had high blood pressure. The blood pressure did not go down so he was confined so that there will be series of tests. The next day, my mom called and said that he had mild stroke and he has problem swallowing. He had also pneumonia, so he needs to be transferred at the ICU. He was restrained because he wants to go down and go home, he also wants to pull the tubes that are attached to him like the NGT, dextrose and catheter. We stayed at the ICU for 2 weeks, then when the doctor said we can go home and continue treating him and feed him using the NGT. But my dad is hard-headed, he won't listen to us. He removed the NGT tube twice and we were giving him food through spoon-feed slowly because he might choke. But he was sick more, that's why he went back to the ICU December 26 because he already lacked oxygen. As of today, his lungs are congested and the phlegm have bacteria.

Well, that's life.  But for me, the Christmas and New Year celebration will not stop especially for the kids. Before Christmas Eve, my brother, sister-in-law and their daughter celebrated with us after dinner. They brought mango charlotte cake, chicken teryaki and sparkling wine. December 25 was my daughter's birthday, RAINE. Every Christmas day, we celebrate at my cousin's place. All of us bring food (potluck lunch) and I brought birthday cake so that she can blow. My mother didn't come with us because she took care of my dad. After the potluck party we went to my in-law's place for sleepover.

For new year, I baked Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting.  It was my 1st attempt, for me it was kinda sweet but they said it was okay.  Well, we all know that fireworks are banned in Davao.  So, we only blew our torotots to welcome the year 2014.  January 1 was the birthday of my nephew, we celebrated it at my aunt's place.  As usual, it was a potluck dinner with relatives.

Lastly, just this Saturday we also had a post-Christmas Party with my mommy friends at school where our kids are classmates.  Our friendship started last year when Mika started school.  We had food, drinks, exchange gifts, videoke and games.  Here's a game we played and it was really funny!  Click this link --> Fruit Salad

Last Nov. 25, baby Raine turned 11 months.  She will turn 1 this Christmas Day  =)

Yesterday, had bonding with 2 mommies at school while waiting for the kids from their class.

This afternoon, went to SM to pay bills.  Dropped by at Krispy Kreme for take-out, got 1 dozen and these are the new flavors for the Holidays.

3 randoms things

Belated Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there!  It's been days since my last entry, and thank you for your comments.  Well, I've been busy for 3 randoms things:

• My uncle & aunt arrived from California, they presented a business proposal to some people and we helped them organize like calling the hotel kung saan iho-hold ang presentation.

• I already enrolled my 4 year old daughter Mika to school last Friday at Davao Christian High School, she will be in Nursery next month.

• Last night, we celebrated mother's day with my relatives (my mother's side) at my cousin's house and at the same time despedida for my uncle & auntie who came from California.  We really had a great time, laughing to the max.

• Last Thursday and Friday, I had the chance to talk to hubby thru Skype before they left for Louisiana.  He's happy to see Mika, Raine, and me.  

• Yesterday was Edsa Revolution anniversary and it's baby Raine's 2nd monthsary and my brother's birthday (whose in Singapore working in Star Cruise Virgo).  I made him a birthday card and he likes it's, hehe...

• Hubby and I decided na magpa-gawa kami ng bed namin kasi yung bed dito (where my 2 brothers stayed before) had 1 single bed and 1 double deck.  Mika will sleep sa double deck bed below then kami ni hubby at Raine sa new bed.  Nag-bigay ng update yung furniture na pinagawaan naman and baka by next week tapos na.
